For Aly & AJ’s most recent tour, we partnered with the duo to create a custom tour jacket that reflects both their aesthetic and the care that goes into Jones Supply Co workwear. The project began with our 100% cotton workers jacket, responsibily made in Portugal and dyed in our signature navy Pantone using eco-friendly, non-toxic dyes—a core part of our commitment to sustainable apparel.
Before assembly, we sent the back panels out for chain-stitch embroidery. Using a custom font, we added the lyric “you’re my favorite face when I’m sad.” Between the lines, we placed a heart cut from recycled fabrics, dyed in a bright red for contrast. Each panel required thousands of stitches, giving the jacket a textured, hand-finished look.
We produced five samples to refine the artwork and branding, adjusting the proportions and placement until everything felt balanced on the jacket. The front features a small embroidered ampersand — a subtle nod to Aly & AJ.
